Tomas kills 14 in St. Lucia, threatens Haiti's tent cities

At least 21 people were missing or dead after Tropical Storm Tomas swept over the Caribbean island nation of St. Lucia as it headed toward Jamaica and the tent cities of Haiti. An American tourist was reportedly among those killed.The busy 2010 Atlantic hurricane season has produced 12 hurricanes, five of them major, but the United States has escaped a significant hurricane landfall so far.
In St. Lucia, at least 14 people were killed and seven others were missing after the storm caused an estimated $37 million dollars in damage.

What Tropical Storm Tomas did was a tradegy, it was nto expected to be so bad, but 14 people had died from it. There was 37 million dollars worth of damage, which will be very hard for the People of the carribean islands. They do not have the strength or the people to take care of the disaster, they will need reinforcent to come help them from other leading nations.
